History: The hilly village of Tiana was away from the Barcelona - Mataró railway main line. So that people was interested to get an easy link between the town and the railway station in Montgat, an old fisherman quartier, segregated in 1933. A tramway line was projected in this way, that also provided a link with de suburban route 44 of the Barcelona tramway system. The new tramway get a great success for many years but after the spanish civil war, the line and the tramcars were in need of renewal due to the age and lack of maintenance. The company was sold to 'Empresa Casas' a bus company that continued the service until its bus replacement. The last years of service, only car 2 was in running order.
Description: The fleet comprised three motors and one trailer with usually two cars in service. The line was single track with a passing place. Track was 'Vignole' type, buried in the roadside. There were two little depots, one of them with the electric supplier.
