"Cortijo el Melion" is situated on an organic olive farm, along 1.5km of track above Otívar (the nearest village - a 20 min drive away) at an altitude of 600m.

It offers panoramic views of the sea (and the Atlas mountains on an exceptionally clear day) with the white villages of Otívar and Jete in the green valleys to the south and to the north and east, the spectacular mountains and gorges of the bordering Nature Park as well as the pretty village of Lenteji.

You can wander freely in all directions amongst the rocky hillsides covered with wild lavender, thyme, broom and orchids where you will often see partridges, eagles, hoopoes, bee-eaters (and bees!), cicadas and whole families of wild goats or 'Cabra Montés'.

The villa affords an exceptional level of seclusion and peace with no nearby houses and almost no traffic noise due to its distance from any main roads.
