It is a 40 min drive to the pleasant coastal town of Almuñécar - which
has a variety of beaches from large and wide to tiny naturist coves -
and only a 1 hr drive to the cultural city of Granada and the Alhambra
Palace via the breathtaking "Suspiro del Moro" road.
Just 5 minutes by car is the entrance to Junto de Los Rios. This spectacular
nature area has a series of rock pools and waterfalls that attract visitors
to bathe and picnic alongside them all summer.
Further down the same road, just a few minutes more, lies the entrance
to the Palacete de Cazulas. Following this road down to the valley bottom
you find a green paradise with rock pools, shade under the giant eucalyptus
trees and the valley walls.
In the opposite direction towards Granada, lie more waterfalls set in
a large national park. The road continues on towards Jaena and the hot
springs of Alhama de Granada.
