MÉTODO:

Basado en los mismos principios que utiliza la U.E.F.A. para calcular los coeficientes de las Federaciones:

Contabilizan todas las participaciones (AP) en la Champions League (o Copa de Europa), Recopa y Copa de la U.E.F.A. (también la Copa de Ferias). No contabilizan la Supercopa ni la Copa Intertoto.

Cada club recibe 2 puntos por partido ganado (GA), 1 punto por empate (EM) y ninguno por los perdidos (PR). Además, se obtienen puntos o bonus extra (B) por alcanzar las rondas finales: 1 punto por los cuartos de final, 1 punto por las semifinales y 1 punto por la final. Participar en la Champions League aporta 2 puntos de bonificación extra para las temporadas 1991/92 y 1992/93, y 1 punto para las siguientes.

El ranking se establece mediante la suma total de puntos (Pts), después (si fuera preciso) por la mejor diferencia de goles (GA), y después por el mayor número de goles a favor (GF).
