Sworn protector of Sarah,leader among the sanctuary horses called Fuego Salvaje in Spain, Cavalo de Fogo in Brazil and Flamboyant in France. Born with the hability to leap between worlds and a natural air of leadership and charisma,wildfire has always been meant to do do great things.Of course,he takes greatness all in stride.
Despite his professional exterior,the stallion is a proud sort..always streaking mejestic poses of hilltops,breaking down doors,and putting on the hero act for the baddies.Wolud Wildfire ever bow his proud head to Diabolyn in defeat? Never! While he is in usually quite reasonable, when danger threatens,Wildfire is the first one to charge into the fray. He is generous,kind, and open hearted....but never anyone's fool,and anyone who crosses him or his friends had best watch where they step if they want to avoid a swift Wildfire kick to the head.
Through ihe usually doesn't hesitate to give his opinion how a situation should be handled,it is very hard not to like the strong,corageous stallion that can do almost anything.He is a good and loyal friend,though he tends to keep his problems to himself,preferring to solve others' problems than burden them with his own.Of course,he basks in praise,but then again, he usually deserves it.alter all,in the end,Wildfire always wins.
She is daughter of the late Queen Serana and John Cavanaugh/Prince Cavan.
Whenever Dar-Shan needs her,Sarah is there.Butterflies in trouble? Horses missing? No problem. It doesn't matter what she's doing at home, if her amulet starts glowing,Sarah dorps everything runs to find Wildfire so that he can take her to her true kingdom.Sarah faces each problem with a calm tenacity and never gives up until the problem is solved,like her mother Serana,Sarah has a deep sense of fairness,but she also has strong opinions which she is not afraid to share.
Blonde hair,blue eyes,13 years old,resides on the Earth with her father; usually wears jeans,cowboy boots,and black Western hat and vest.
In the French version, Sara was called Aurelia.
Dorin (Roland in France) is ard of Alvinar,friend of Sarah and Brutus.
Dorin is the orphaned,snowy- haired apprentice of the sorcerer Alvinar,who served Queen Serana before her death.He lives With Alvinar and another orphan, a colt named Brutus, who is also Dorin's best friend.Like Alvinar Dorin is loyal to the Queen's memory and to the old order and hates Diabolyn and all she stands for.
Friend of Sarah and Dorin, this orphaned colt, is wildfire's steadfast sidekick,and the comic relief of the rag-tag that travels with princess Sarah.
Brutus is incredibily loyal, sticking with the Sanctuary's cause despite his own hidden (and not so hidden) fears concerning Diabolyn and the array of monsters the group meets on a regular basis.His loyalty, however,does not him for worring -not just about monsters but about his own self-worth.
Brutus also has a tendency to idolice those he respects and has trouble seeing flaws in tose he loves.Perhaps this is why he puts Wildfire on such a pedestal.
In France was called Nuage Bleu, and in Spain his name is Brioso.
Sarah's late mother, former ruler of Dar-Shan and wife of John Cavanaugh/ Prince Cavan, stepsister to Diabolyn.
Queen Serana was a strong, capable ruler, struck down in young womanhood. She left behind a baby daughter, Sarah, and asked Wildfire to take her to her father, the ensorcelled Prince Cavan on Earth.
Sarahs father,husband of the late Queen Sarana, condemned to exile on Earth and unable to remember his past.
John, Sarah's adopted and natural father,is under a spell preventing him from remember his true identity;he is Prince Cavan, consort of the late Queen Serana of Dar-Shan.On Earth,he is a succesfull rancher,breeding both horses and cattle.
Jonh adopted Sarah when she was a baby left on his doorstep--he is a good father, patient and sensible, giving Sarah freedom to explore while teaching her how be a good person.

Ellen is Sarah's most trusted friend on Earth, and the Only one who knows about Wildfire.Consequently, Ellen often finds herself covering for her friend's mysterious absences,but she doesn't hold it against Sarah.Ellen' sinsights often help Sarah to solve problems in Dar-Shan.
Advisor to the late Queen Sarana of Dar-Shan,foster father to Dorin.
Many underestimate, kindky old green faced wizard turned farmer,who lives in a run-down cottage with his ward and apprentice, Dorin. Alvinar' s absent minded manner hidesan incredible memory and considerable powers.His oftand remarks and mystical comments often help Sarah and Wildfire to solve just the problem they need, as in "The name is The Game".
