The current Autonomous Valencian
Community (what for centuries was the independent "Kingdom
of Valencia") is one of the 17 autonomous communities that
integrate the Spanish State (or "Crown of Spain", a constitutional
monarchy into the democratic system of Spain).
Nowadays Spain might be defined like
a "federal" state since each of the autonomous
communities that integrate the state have got own autonomic governments
(chosen by popular suffrage) that manage competitions transferred
from the central Spanish government (for example, education and
health) and that besides have legal authority to develop and to
promulgate their own regional or autonomic laws.
Since a relatively short space of
time, some "nationalistic" political movements with strong
independence character and disgregador of the Spanish State have
begun to raise their voice into some autonomous communities of Spain.
The Autonomous Community of Catalonia is one of the communities
where there are a significant presence of nationalistic separatist
movements (Catalan nationalism).
Without considering the legitimacy
of the independence ambitions of the Catalan nationalism
it is necessary to reveal its strong imperialistic character
on the historical and independent Kingdom of Valencia (nowadays
the Autonomous Valencian Community).
The imperialistic catalan nationalism
being based on the same slogan that the imperialistic nazism used
to justify its belic nightmare: "A
(Catalan) language, A
(Catalan) nation",
tries to build the fictitious political project named: "països
catalans" ("catalan countries"). For many years
the catalan nacionalism has been inverting enormous sums of
money in propaganda (inside and out of Spain) to make to believe
that the Valencian language is a dialect of the Catalan language
and that in consequence (to the above mentioned falsehood) the
Valencian society and the Valencian lands belong to the "catalan
nation" and are a part of the (fictitious) "països
catalans" (lately called euphemistically "eurorregión").
The imperialistic catalan nationalism
presents to the "països catalans" ("catalan
countries") as a exclusively linguistic concept (that
according to the catalan nationalism it has been solved by the
"science" and "all the philologists of
the world" in favor of the Catalan language - a completly
falsehood), concealing deliberately its real political meaning.
The imperialistic catalan nationalism wants the political and
social absorption of the Autonomous Valencian Community inside
of the Community of Catalonia to give bigger political, social
and territorial force to the independence ambitions of the Catalan
nationalism.
The
next catalanist images (some of them used by oficial catalan institutions
and commercialized on flags, t-shirts, stickers, books, posters
and other advertising products) have been elaborated by the catalanist
service of propaganda (and in some cases by
the catalan government or GENERALITAT OF CATALONIA), in order
to stimulate the imperialistic fervor of their coreligionists and
nacionalist sympathizers on the historical
and ever independent Kingdom of Valencia.
It is more than evident that the mensage that these images
transmit is exclusively political and with
an unequivocally imperialistic and offensive character towards
the Autonomous Valencian Community.
