Philosophy

                                          "Jatabe", was not born as a casual thing, but after a deepful study of the matter of  our breed nowadays, without loosing sight of their roots  and with a  clear and neat  historic perspective.

                                          I wish people visiting these pages would realize that behind the dogs displayed here, some of  the first imports to Spain lay within their pedigrees, standing today as the oldest blood line in this country.  If that line could ever be lost  a great part of the afghan history in Spain  would be  washed away.

                                        I try to keep myself loyal  to a rearing philosophy above other considerations, that was transmited from breder to breeder and generation after generation, being respectfull with the selection and betterment labor developed by those afghan personalities.The aim is to take advantage of that selection efforts, avoiding that all their sacrifice and prayers seeking for  perfection, could be in vain. All that huge amount of work could be throw away  just in a pair of litters.

                                       I can not forget dog shows, although important to a certain extent because without public recognition we aren't anything, I can't considerate them excesively positive for the keeping of what I understand as "afghan essence". Without even realize of what is going on we soon forget very typical afghan traces, in the search of a "trendy look" soon becoming  fashion victims. All in all, the experience has tought me to ponderate  each  individual always in comparison with the "Tazi" standard, and not for the number of titles an specific dog has, as we all know that those titles depend themselves on many external factors, dealing very little with the inner quality of each individual in most of the cases.
