Linux Tips

Creating a file system on a single disk file

(this is a dangerous action, I avoid any responsibility if you loose data with this system, however if you don't make mistakes and you are sure no one can delete the file that contain the file system, it must run properly.)

With this method you can avoid repartitioning your disk if you need extra disk space on some Linux Partitions.

Accessing your CDROMS and diskettes without having to mount them

Having the autofs daemon active and configured you can access the CDROMs and diskettes directly.
