Pere Tosca, a painter...of San Cugat...Escala...Barcelona. Well, in any case, I would say a painter of the ambiances where I feel the presence of all that makes me feel good.

All my life, I´ve been searching for that which I can do best. That seach originates from an insatiable desire to get to know myself more.

 It just so happens that a few years ago I returned to an activity which, as a child and a young man growing up, had come to me with relative ease. Especially as far as drawing was concerned. I have added my own particular touch to this talent.

I feel a great connection with the world of painting and, right now, believe that I´ve learned a lot, despite the fact that we never know enough and that evolution is a continuous process.

I´m really surprised at how deeply inside painting has touched me and at how easily it is for me to express all that which I see and feel. I believe that, without doubt, it´s the best way I have of expressing myself. Much better than the written or spoken word.

I feel passion for what I do and for the work of others. Provided that what I do or see has a certain level of quality. 

 It´s strange, but when I have the the paintbrushes in my hands, the smell of the paint and the canvas, I move inside the painting. I´m inside there while I work and my energy is completely dedicated to the theme. Sometimes this means I wind up very tired, because my whole body is involved in the movement. I always paint standing up. I move back and forward, I screw up my eyes...The tubes of colour can´t reach far enough to give me all the paint I need on the pallet. It´s fantastic even though it may seem crazy.

 If you want to know about my training, I will tell you it´s self-taught and itinerant.  That is to say, I really enjoy working with other painters to get to know their techniques and perceptions and to have my work evaluated through the eyes of others...I refer to painters like Marina Gaicedo, ADOLF y Eustaquio Casero.

I believe I have very good and positive experience and I´d like to share it with all of you.
