HISTORIA

Banda formada en Crawley (Inglaterra) en 1976 por ROBERT SMITH (21-4-59, guitarra y voz), Michael Dempsey (bajo) y Laurence Tolhurst (batería). Otros componentes de posteriores formaciones: Simon Gallup (teclados), Matthieu Hartley (batería), Goulding (batería), Phil Thornalley (teclados), Andy Anderson (batería), Porl Thompson (bajo), Boris Williams (batería), Roger O´Donell (teclados), Perry Bamonte (guitarra y teclados) y Jason Cooper (batería). Su primer nombre fue Easy Cure, pasando en 1978 a denominarse Cure. Actuaron como teloneros de Siouxsie & The Banshees. Su primer single fue el polémico Killing an arab.
