Grupo formado en Londres en 1969 por Rick Davies (cantante y teclado, 22-7-44), Roger Hodgson (cantante y guitarra, 21-3-50), Dave Winthrop, Bob Miller y Richard Palmer. Para el tercer álbum cambian de miembros quedándose Davies y Hodgson y fichando a John Helliwell (saxo), Dougie Thompson (bajo) y Bob C. Siebenberg (batería). Su mayor éxito ha sido Breakfast in America (nº 3 en U.K. y nº 1 en USA). En 1982 Hodgson abandona el grupo y comienza su carrera en solitario.
