Garry's Corner, The tribute page to Garry W. Tallent

Moondog Tour.

Most of my favorite records have something in common (apart from good songs and better musicians), I would call it a certain "atmosphere" that sets them apart from everything else. To capture this atmosphere is not an easy task. While I'm writing these words "Cadillac Jack's #1 Son" by Kevin Gordon is playing in my stereo and it sure has that atmosphere. Of course, it was recorded by Tim Coats and produced by Garry Tallent in Moondog Music, Nashville, TN.

It's a hot summer day when we meet Ron Lasalle in the parking area outside Moondog.  We have crossed emails before, but it's the first time that we are face to face. He meets us with a big smile and greets us with his sweet southern accent. The moment has come...

That's me in front of Moondog

That's me and Patricia in front of, in Garry's words, "The Hall of Fame". Platinum and Gold records presented to Garry for the sales of Bruce's albums.

Patricia and Ron in the control room. That's Tim Coats in front of the soundboard  mixing some great sounding stuff.
This one is for gearheads. To
the left of the soundboard you see this wall of rack cases full of vintage gear.
This case has seen a lot of places on the road
The drum room and the secret for a great bass drum sound The piano room has a piano (oh yeah!) a couple of keyboards and some guitars. Those in the stand are Danelectros

Didn't you know that Garry is a big Elvis' fan? The rest room is a small shrine to the King.
