Very few kits come with a pre-designed or pre-built
instrument panel. For most kits it is the builder who has to decide what
instruments to put where in the available panel space. After this important
decision comes the work of connecting all instruments to the aircraft
systems.
Depending on the instrument panel layout, the
technical installation can be very difficult and requires a lot of planning
an system designing. Apart from this, designing a funcional instrument
panel that gives clear information to the pilot at all times is not as easy
as it might look……

¨ Advising in selecting the
right instruments for your plane
There are lots of instruments available on the market for general aviation,
varying from Angle of Attack systems to complete EFIS displays. Although
sometimes very attractive because of lights, colors, sound and buttons, these
instruments can be too much for the airplane they will be installed in,
creating a confusing instrument panel with possible dangers for flight

¨ Designing the instrument
panel layout for you
After
selecting all instruments, we help you in making the instrument panel layout.
Using the AutoCad design
program, we make
an scaled example of the complete panel, so you can see what the complete
panel will look like. The dimensions from the AutoCad drawing can be used directly
to cut the panel.

¨ Assisting in the panel wiring
The wiring of an
instrument panel requires a good planning and design of all the connections
necessary. Any mistake in the wiring process can result very expensive, so
wiring diamgrams must be made. Then the wiring itself requires different
special tecniques & tools, from soldering to crimping connector pins.

PANEL WIRING
¨ Assisting in the instrument panel installation & testing
The complete and
wired instrument panel must be connected to the aircraft systems. This again
requires good planning and organization of the work. The fisical installation
of the panel in the aircraft must be structurally correct; the electrical
installation must be correctly wired and not interfere with other systems.
After the completion of this fase the panel must be tested and eventual
problems must be solved. Because of our wide experience with panel
installation we can help you in this fase, and provide you with more
effective trouble-shooting procedures in case of any problems.
