Side Rochetaillée

This long climb has three sections separatd by short and flat zones which are really helpful. The first section is tough, it's not more than 5km but close to 10%. After a small town, we reach a 1km downhill zone.

Down this way, we start the toughest part

So now we start the second section, the longest and the steeppest. First, this zone is steep, up to 10%, but it becomes easier when we reach the Grand Maison Barriage, with really flat sections.

At the left we can see the last km of the climb

The last section is 5km long, with an average gradient of 7%, which drives us to the summit, after passing an interesting crossroads that goes to another classic mountain, the Col du Glandon.

This long mountain offers some hard sections on the first part of the climb, but not really complicated, so a 39x23 is enough. But consider that this is a 2-hour climb, so be patient. The fact that the last part is easier allow us to push hard at the end.
