RABASSA - 1800 m
This climb has two summits. First at 1800m, and then long descent to Sant Julia, and a second finish, one-way now, almost at 2000m. First part of the climb has 13km, and the extra final others four.
Views at mid-climb The climb starts tough, very tough, sections at 15% or more make the average in the first 1500m up to 10%. Then, just after crossed a junction, we get into a huge forest, with fantastic views, still quite hard, at 8-9% until km5, where the mountain turns into something easier. After a small rest at Juberri, the second half of the climb sets a 6-7% gradient which follows us til the end. The road to the real summit at 2000m is very similar.
Atop La Rabassa at 2000m The climb starts too heavy, follows still hard, but the second half is easy. The asphalt is very good, the road wide, and a 39x25 can suit you for the first km. After that, 39x23 or 21 is really enough. In my opinion, one of the best mountains to climb in Andorra.
