Side Saint Lary
Not a long climb, a bit more than 10km, it starts quite easy, but it is crossing Estensan that the gradient changes from 5-6% to 8-9% to the top, well, almost to the top. Last 2km are easy again, and the asphalt is poor.
Starting at Saint Lary
Short but tough, interesting mountain to include in a mini-stage with others. A 39x23 is enough, but sections at 9% but become difficult if you come from other battles. Don't rely on the short length.
Saint Lary in the middle, and the climb on your left
This side is even harder than the other, for sure. Similar in length, just 10km, the gradient is important since the beginning, with a tough 9% which becomes 10% for a while. Only last 2km are easier, with a couple of breaks.
Nino finishing in mid-positions
With a surface very bad again, 39x23 may not be enough, because sections at 10% are more and longer, so 25 is better. Very interesting climb, only Pla d'Adet is more difficult.
