    Start 2. Sutrio

Access 2. Udine - Tolmezzo - Arta Terme

Side Ovaro

Less than 11km, not too many, poor surface and very constant and terrible gradient. Starting in Ovaro, first 2km, are tough...but the easiest, 7-9%. There, the asphalt is still decent, since reaching Liariis, where it starts the real Zonco.

After Liariis, incredible sections

Since there, and for 6km, everything becomes brutal. Entire kilometers at 15-17%, no time to breath, almost always through a deep forest, except the last part, still very tough. You can't stop to take pictures, it's no easy to start riding again.

Samples of the climb

Last 2km are not so difficult. The most characteristic are the three tunnels, not too long, but all together. No asphalt, that's why the Giro doesn't finish there, and the last km again at 10%.

Jose & me just at the tunnels

Without the steep sections of the Angliru, we remark the central part, the hardest I've ever done. With a 39x28 is enough, if you take it relaxed, otherwise you'll put your feet on the ground. I really recommnend it, when typing this, I feel like I was there again.
